POthos

(Epipremnum aureum)

Pothos are some of the easiest houseplants to grow. These undemanding plants can handle a broad spectrum of light conditions and are very forgiving when it comes to watering. Pothos are trailing vine plants that produce lovely heart-shaped green leaves. They come in various unique variegated styles, such as the ‘Marble Queen,’ ‘N’Joy,’ ‘Golden,’ and more. Pothos are perfect for tabletops, hanging baskets, and draping off shelves. They are also an excellent option for areas that receive low light, such as offices and bathrooms.

Performs best in medium to bright, indirect light. They can tolerate low, indirect light; however, some color may begin to fade on the variegated varieties.

Allow the soil to dry 1/2 of the way down before watering thoroughly. When the foliage begins to droop, it is a sign that the plant is thirsty. Water until excess water flows from the container’s drainage hole. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water or soggy soil.

Does well with average to high humidity.

Pothos tend to be fast growing, vining plants (except for some varieties, such as the N’Joy, which has a more compact growth). Pothos can also be trained to climb vertically up trellises, moss poles, and more.

Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer months with a diluted, water-soluble, balanced fertilizer.

Causes digestive distress if ingested.
