P. scandens, and other varieties)

The Philodendron genus consists of over 400 plants and is the second largest genus within the Araceae family. They comprise of two different growth habits, ranging from vining to upright bushy forms. Philodendrons are generally forgiving. Allow the soil to dry 1/2 of the way down before watering thoroughly. Water until excess water flows from the container’s drainage hole. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water or soggy soil.

Philodendrons do well with average humidity level.

Philodendrons are typically fast growers, and size depends on the variety. Most varieties are perfect for displaying on desks, shelves, tabletops, stands, and more. Vining varieties can be trained to grow up a climbing support.
