This popular houseplant adds an unmatched architectural luxury to interiors with its lush, heavily-veined, fiddle-shaped leaves. Although the Fiddle Leaf Fig has a reputation for being fickle, we think the reward of elegance is well worth the effort.

Bright, indirect light is a must. Rotate the plant slightly every 2-3 weeks for even growth. 

Allow the soil to dry 1/2 of the way down the container, before watering thoroughly. Proper drainage is crucial. Do not let the soil sit in standing water.

Fiddle Leaf Figs appreciate warm, humid environments. Avoid placing your plant in the direct line of a draft from heaters, air conditioners, and doorways.

As a houseplant, the Ficus lyrata can reach up to 6 feet tall or more, while the Ficus lyrata ‘Compacta’ grows less than 5 feet tall.

Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer months with a diluted, water-soluble, balanced fertilizer.

Causes digestive distress if ingested.

Clean the leaves regularly with a neem oil product designed for houseplants. This helps to combat pests and adds shine to the foliage.
