Firefly petunias are a first of their kind, even making the cover of Time Magazine for one of the Best Inventions of 2024. These one-of-a-kind plants are genetically engineered bioluminescent petunias that incorporate genes from the Neonothopanus nambi mushroom. During the day, the Firefly Petunia has a beautiful white bloom, while at night, they emit a faint glow in the dark light. Adjust the shutter speed on your camera with a tripod to catch amazing photos like the one posted here. Firefly Petunias need full sun (6+ hours) and require regular fertilizing, as new growth is where the glowing magic happens.
